December Daily by Ali Edwards

Everybody talks about how the holiday season is rushed and how it goes by too fast to enjoy.  Ali Edwards came up with this great idea to keep a scrapbook/journal of the 25 days of Christmas to keep a record of all events, big or small.  She posted it on her blog last year.  This year she's gearing up to do it again and she's getting all of us ready to do it as well.  It is well worth stopping by her blog to check it out.

The method to her maddness?  Make the book BEFORE the holidays start!  All you should be putting in the book everyday is your pictures, some journaling and maybe an embellishment or two.

17 Turtles

Scrapbooker extrodinare Juliana Michaels has a great blog called 17 Turtles.  This busy scrapper can be found on quite a few design teams, including Bo Bunny.  And there's plenty of reasons she's so darn busy.  She makes gorgeous pages and projects.  This first project is so simple, but it really caught my eye:

Character Constructions

I've always admired the beautiful images in Somerset Studio.  I have inks, papers, pencils and powders.  What I needed are the stamps to create something worthy of publication.  I found the stamps made by Character Constructions are the stamps I was looking for.  These are the perfect stamps to take your rubber stamping to the next level.

I Like Markers

Scrappers are talking about Copic markers.  They don't look, cost or smell like our regular markers.  Yet they can do so much more!  It's a great way to get into using alcohol inks.  A good source to find out more information about Copic markers is to check out I like markers by Marianne Walker, product specialist for Copic.  There's lots of information, a newsletter and helpful tricks for using your markers.

You can't do that with your pens you purchased at Michaels/Joann's with your 40% off coupon can you?  Helpful hint:  when purchasing your first pens, go lighter.  You can always layer your color and make it darker.  Pretty soon you will like love your Copic markers too.  Enjoy!

New Project from 7Gypsies

It's an ATC tin with a mini book from 7Gypsies designed by guest designer Tena Sprenger .  And you can get the instructions here.  I love how this project has a mixed-media feel, but can easily be done by someone who's not a mixed-media artist.  You'll also get the instructions on how to make this cute wire photo and memory holder:
