While Chirstmas is just a week away, a new year is only two weeks away. After the hustle and the bustle of the holidays, what New Year's resolutions will you be making? On message boards across the internet, scrappers and photographers are starting to get ready for their 365 projects for 2010.
What is a 365 project? It's where you make a commitment to take a picture everyday, no matter what, for a whole year, usually starting January 1st. Scrappers take it a step further and document/journal something everyday as well to go along with their pictures.
This is a great project to prep during the week between Christmas and New Year's Day. Even if you are not ready to make the commitment, you can check out these sites to get ideas.
Start with Photojojo to get a basic idea on how the project works.
Becky Higgins offers a kit for the newbie 365-er. Her site also has tips on how to do your project (daily/weekly/monthly).
Flickr has a group called 366-1 where you can upload your image everyday, or just look and see what others are uploading.
Two Peas in a Bucket has a daily thread on their message board devoted to people who are working on 365 projects.
Get inspired, get your camera and get ready to be a better photographer by the end of 2010. Enjoy!
