My oldest daughter, affectionately called "mini me" has left for college. It is so hard to believe that 18 years have gone by and just how quick it got past me.
She is at the Art Institute of Portland and is a very talented photographer and will do so much with her talents and skills, I dont worry to much about that. She is a strong young lady that is a hard worker, the biggest heart and best "mini me" ever!
Dear Chelsea,
Although I knew this day would come, as I have already had to say goodbye to your brother a few years ago, it does not make it any easier. I am so proud of you and thankful for all the wonderful years that I have had with you and I look forward to watching you grow, learning and exploring the world.
You have been my rock through so much. You were always there when I was sad and would ask "what's wrong mommy" and you would wrap your arms around me. You were always there when I would laugh, and you would ask, "what's so funny, mommy" and we would laugh together. You were always there when I was happy or had made a big accomplishment, and you would say " good job, mommy" and I felt like a million dollars.
You are not going to be there anymore to share these moments face to face, and for that I am sad. But I know that you are always there for me, I can always call, text or facebook you and that will help me to survive without you.
I am so proud of you. You are beautiful, strong and so determined to make it in this world. I hope that if I have done nothing else, that I have taught you that hard work and perserverance will bring you good fortune and that you must always treat others the way you want to be treated and lend a hand whenever and wherever you can.
Nam Myoho Renge Kho, my sweet girl!
Love, Mommy
