GOT BUSY PLAYING WITH RINEA FOIL AND MADE A COOL CARD TO SEND TO A FRIEND!
I have never much worked with foil in the past, so I felt this was a good opportunity to try my hand at it. The funny thing is I made a card, to most that is not a big deal but to me it is very much so. I am not a card maker. However, recently I bought a box of pre-folded cards from a local craft store thinking that might help me to want to make them. It has.
When I received the Rinea Foil®, I took the time to look it up on YouTube.com to get a feel for what others are doing with it. I wanted to work on a card for a friend and figured I would take the Rinea Foil® for a test drive and see what I could come up with.
I created my own inside foil lining with a ghost rose imprint and then made a matching mixed media inspired front for the card using the foil and Tattered Angels spray. Gather up your supplies.
Place the stencil
Using a stencil and Heartlfelt Creations Flower Shaping tool to make a scratchy imprint on the foil in the shape of the roses on the stencil.
Close up of the scratched surface.
Slide the foil square into the envelope, leave some area on the flap and fold over with the flap.
Place the stencil over the foil for the front of the card.
Add Golden Gel Medium over the top of the stencil to give it a dimensional look.
Once dried but still a tad tacky, spray some Tattered Angels Chalkboard spray and place a paper towel over the top. Pull the paper towel off slowly and it will leave an imprint and leave a cool sprayed color effect.
