Glue Gun Craftiness!
Recently I cleaned my craft room and found lots of lost goodies. {Picture for proof}
I had been searching for my glue gun for a couple of months to do some glue gun strings for the wings. I did make some but decided they weren't right for that project. Now that I am essentially done with the wings, I got bored and challenged myself to see what I can make using only the glue in the glue gun, paper, and paint. And what I got was "Chaos." A woman that is hurting, her heart bleeding all while beauty is raining down on her to try to save her from the pain.
The strings, butterfly, body, and hair...are all glue gun glue! This was the result:
I started with these molds, filled them with glue gun glue, and let them dry overnight.
Peeled them out of the molds.
Using DecoArt acrylic paints, Prima Marketing waxes to color the butterfly and figure.
I created little thin strings to create the hair, glued it down with Beacon Adhesives 3-in-1, then hit it with the heat gun to melt it into the paper to create her big head of hair.
