Steampunk Goes Basically Bare at Papertrix in Nashville, Indiana!

I had the pleasure of teaching at Papertrix this past weekend and wanted to share our top secret class project with you using the new Krafty Keepsakes album by Basically Bare.  I will share more photos as soon as I get back home as I am currently in the airport.  So hang tight, but here is a sneak peek meanwhile:

Steampunk album was on Friday, and on Saturday we did a 4.5 hour workshop using the new Graphic45 Le' Cirque paper collection and the new Timeless Tabs album by Basically Bare.  This was such a fun class to do:

One of the best parts of working in this industry is teaching.  I dont get to do it quite as often as I would like to due to the fact that I own a brick and mortar shipping store that turns 11 years old and often takes up 6 days  of my week.  This in addition to several other ventures that I am a part of.

Upcoming Class...My Dream Journal with Graphic45

Good morning,

I wanted to remind you of upcoming classses, just in case you did not have it on your calendar yet!  We have a few spots open for My Dream Journal at Sugar n' Spice in Central Point, Oregon and registration is open for Krop, Paper, Scissors in Grants Pass, Oregon.

We will make this three dimensional journal that explores the dreams and goals that you have for the next year, we will document these thoughts with notes, envelopes and pictures...and my favorite part is creating a bucket list!  Lets explore our dreams together in this class!

 

 
 

This big beautiful custom designed tabbed *album features Graphic 45's "Once Upon A Springtime" paper collection, die cuts from Imaginarium Designs and fun textiles including acrylic, canvas, cork, burlap and corrugated cardboard and so much more.   This 3.5+ hour workshop allows us to complete the album, and play with fun materials and techniques.

"My Dream Journal" WORKSHOP is now scheduled!

It is that time...WORKSHOP TIME!  Introducing "My Dream Journal" inspired by a dear friend to help document your dreams, goals and in creating a bucket list for yourself.  This 3+ hour workshop will be filled with plenty of creative play and fun techniques.

In this workshop we will build a 8.5" x 11" mixed media album using a tab folder album design that sports corrugated cardboard and acrylic, then we will be playing with some fun textiles; canvas, cork and burlap to make flowers, corsets and so much more!

 
We will be using Graphic 45's "Once Upon A Springtime" paper collection,  stamps by Candy Rosenberg from The Rubber Cafe,  spray mists, album and textiles custom designed for the class, die cuts from Imaginarium Designs, Ranger products and so much more!

 

I am looking forward to introducing this workshop at the following locations and dates:

There is a light at the end of the tunnel, after all!  Been busy getting the class kits done and ready to ship on Monday.  Not done but almost there! 

I have to give a great big thank you to May Arts for being a sponsor of the "Steampunk'd Mixed Medium Album" Class at CHA using my new album with Punky Sprouts!  This is the finishing touch on the album for sure!  I am very excited to be teaching this class at CHA and look forward to seeing some familiar and new faces!

These kits have to be shipped on Monday so I made sure that the bulbs are protected along with other small parts.  And then the bags are in the box ready to ship!  Phew!  It is an incredible amount of work. 

There is also a sneak peek of the new tinted tape from Vintage Street Market!  Each student will receive two packages of the tape to play with on the album and take back to their stores to share with their customers.  And there could not be a mixed medium album without Zip Dry, so thank you to Beacon Adhesives for your generosity!  You always rock my adhesive world!

 
 Along with die cuts gears & alphas by Imaginarium Designs and chipboard dress form and hearts by Ooh La La Design Originals, we are using the "Steampunk Debutante" paper collection from Graphic45 and all pieces are hand cut and ready to trim up and apply to the album!  Yes, you will truly be spoiled to the max in this class.

CHA Class...........Steampunk'd!

I am busily working on my workshops for 2011.  The one I am most excited about is "Steampunk'd Mixed Medium Album" using my new album release with Punky Sprouts, "Steampunk'd!" using  Graphic45 "Steampunk Debutante" line of papers! 

This workshop will debut at CHA Winter in Los Angeles, California and will also be taught in the new year in Australia with Your Creative Journey and at Paper Trix in Nashville, Indiana .  For those of you that are attending, you will be extremely spoiled and leave with so many goodies including another little secret......my new "Steampunk" themed stamps that I am creating for Charity Wings with The Rubber Cafe  and will also be released at CHA and each student will receive stamps from the set to take home!

Upcoming Tattered Angels and Graphic45 Class

I wanted to post my newest Tattered Angels and Graphic45 class.  The most amazing part of this class is that the products used are one package of Bingo Board, one piece of patterened paper and one and half sheets of cardstock!  And you have a fun travel themed wall hanging.

I wanted to create a FUN, EASY and FAST class and share a ton of great techniques. 

 

 

 Also keep an eye on the calendar for the Glimmer Mist 101 Class at Krop, Paper, Scissors in February 2010!
