Updates, Reveals and Teases....oh my!

An Update
I have not been able to work on my "SECRET" Graphic45 project as I am still waiting for product to arrive, but it will all be good.  I just keep punching those 300 leaves and inking them.  I will reveal more as soon as I can.

A Reveal!
I am so excited to share these projects with you.  Recently I was asked to participate with a number of other uber talented designers to design "ICONS" for the new Charity Wings website.  These projects will be turned into the buttons that you will use on the site to navigate.  I was in charge of "Royal Sponsors" and "Press."  Two things I know alot about...lol!  Elena says I can share these projects with you and to tell you a bit about the fantastic fundraiser she has been heading up to bring CHA LIVE to those that cant be there!

The first project represents "Royal Sponsors." I started with a special Burger King hat that my husband had to do a little wheeling and dealing for as there were no kids in the vehicle and he needed several of them just in case. (Thank you hubby) I covered, inked and painted the crown, then added some 3D elements cut from the "Once Upon A Springtime" collection from Graphic45.  A few pearls and rhinestones along with one of my fave products, Rangers three dimensional pearls!

 
 
The second project represents "Press" and I could not resist in using an authentic vintage photograph along with the persons real name to make this PRESS PASS.  I used the Steampunk Debutante paper line from Graphic45 along with Core' dinations matching cardstock, Punky Sprouts canvas stem, Imaginarium Designs die cut and 7Gyspies chain and rub on numbers.

Ok, now for the tease...........

I have spent the last four hours hand punching AGAIN.  Only this time it is 5 petal flowers and hand cutting tags and tickets for a make n' take in the Glue Arts booth on Saturday 1-3pm.  I will be joining the Glue Arts team as a guest in their booth and have created a vintage tag using the Le' Romantique paper collection from Graphic45 and mixing it up with my new "Vintage Treasures" rubber stamp collection from The Rubber Cafe.

Hi Everyone,

I have not had much time to work on my big CHA project this weekend so sorry for no updates on that.  I was waiting for some additional product to arrive to be able to move forward.  I am also working on some new stamp sets in between projects, so my plate is pretty full right now.  If you havent seen the current sets be sure to visit The Rubber Cafe and check out the new releases!

Vintage Street Market will be debuting at CHA Winter in Los Angeles this month.  I am proud to be a part of the design team and to work with Michelle and Allison!  What an absolute treat that is!!  So let me tell you about what they have up their sleeve at the show.  A new product being introduced to the scrapbooking industry, which is something I have been dreaming about for awhile.  BIG SHEETS of paper!!

A Little Journey...

Ok, so I have to confess that I cried when I got my hands on this paper, I did not touch it for weeks because I was so afraid to cut it!  I only had one paper pad and not sure when I was going to get more, even though I had projects to make I just could not do it. 

For those of you that know me, know that I am NOT AFRAID TO CUT PAPER!  I live to cut paper, so why so hard?  It fairies of course, so I had to resolve myself to finally dig in, telling myself that I had to set them free!  (Ok, was just looking for an excuse to start cutting!)

Then I received some incredible die cuts from Imaginarium Designs, and with a story written by my youngest daughter about fairies and in no time I knew what I was going to make.  This was shared on the Graphic 45 blog recently but wanted to share with you as well.

 
 
 
This paper was such a treat to work with and am having fun making other great projects with it, but I have to tell you I am hoarding every single little piece as I am almost out.  Scary feeling! 

CHA Class...........Steampunk'd!

I am busily working on my workshops for 2011.  The one I am most excited about is "Steampunk'd Mixed Medium Album" using my new album release with Punky Sprouts, "Steampunk'd!" using  Graphic45 "Steampunk Debutante" line of papers! 

This workshop will debut at CHA Winter in Los Angeles, California and will also be taught in the new year in Australia with Your Creative Journey and at Paper Trix in Nashville, Indiana .  For those of you that are attending, you will be extremely spoiled and leave with so many goodies including another little secret......my new "Steampunk" themed stamps that I am creating for Charity Wings with The Rubber Cafe  and will also be released at CHA and each student will receive stamps from the set to take home!

Sharing my "GIRLS" at Friday Art Night here locally

I was asked to share my "girls" at our local Friday Art Night here in Grants Pass, Oregon.  Our little town is very artsy, I believe we have more galleries and antique stores than any other city I know! 

Luckily, I had most of my girls back home with me.  Some have been gone for many months awaiting publishing.  They all are on display in my studio now, they all came home to mommy! LOL.

The shop that I was featured at is "As You Like It" a beautiful vintage clothing store.  Now when I say vintage, I mean REAL VINTAGE!  This is where I get a jar full of fun baubles and jewelry each month, the owner takes good care of me!

 "As You Like It" was celebrating their Grand Opening in their new location which is on the same block as my store, so it was fun to participate with them.

 
Here are most of my girls including a brand new one on the left that is featured in the upcoming issue of Scrap N' Art Magazine, plus a few Punky Sprouts mini albums.

 
This is "Steamie" she was featured in an art swap with Simply Renee and Graphic45 back in September.  It was a lot of fun to create and makes a beautiful ATC holder.

 
Here is "Steampunk Girl" which was recently published in Somerset Home by Stampington & Company.  What a thrill that was.  This is my favorite "girl"

It was pretty neat to showcase my work locally and all the people that came through to see.  Thank you.

I had so much fun making a fun little "Play Date" album with the Junk In My Punk album by Punky Sprouts with a ton of Websters Pages paper!
